‼️ PAINS!! Knee PAINSS ‼️ Concrete is considered detrimental to knee health babes. CHOOSE GRASS OR ASPHALT.
✨✨Before I get into why you should try grass or asphalt, HERE ARE 3 main REASONS you MUST stop running on concrete:
1. ➡️Reduced Shock Absorption: Unlike softer surfaces like grass or asphalt, concrete lacks shock-absorbing qualities. This means that each step on concrete does not disperse energy, resulting in more strain on the knee joint. I actually felt the difference and it began causing discomfort after my runs…
2. ⬆️Increased Risk of Injuries: The continuous high impact forces you experience with concrete running can lead to various overuse injuries, such as runner’s knee which I experienced a couple of months ago causing pain around my knee cap. When I went to the doctor, I learned it’s way more common for women too, so keep this in mind ladies.
3. ⬇️ Decreased Natural Biomechanics: Running on a rigid surface can alter your natural stride and biomechanics, which could lead to improper alignment over time. This will add more stress and damage to your knees over time. No bueno pumpkin
Knee and back problems have always been a problem in my family so I’m trying to be super careful. This is why I now CHOOSE GRASS 🍃🍃 OR ASPHALT!! It’ll promote my overall joint health, especially for regularly running.
SOLUTIONS FOR YOU 💗💗
✨✨Injury-Proof Your Runs on Grass:
1.Runners on softer surfaces experience fewer overuse injuries, making grass a safer choice! You’ll definitely feel the difference on grass or even on the street when you pay attention too.
2.Grass helps promote natural foot mechanics, improving efficiency and cutting down injury risk. 🏃♀️
3.Grass also provides a more comfortable running experience, especially on hot days! (Known as Thermal Regulation)🌡️🌿
✨✨Enhanced Recovery:
Softer surfaces can speed up recovery times, helping you train harder and longer! ⏳✨
