📖 The term stems from a feeling of discomfort in our adolescent years when our joints are adjusting and growing as a result of new development…
🚨 Keep in mind, we are both going through the same growing pains:
• Although it may not be in the form of physical fitness in your current season, they are still taking root, making it important to be open, honest, and conversational about it.
• There’s no need to hide or be ashamed of the struggle. I’m struggling too! 🚨
So let’s talk about it… Growing pains inevitably happen, and it is hard! But the crazy part about it is,
Growing pains should continue TO BE HARD (as it will be in all of ours). Here’s why:
❌ Catalyst for Change:
• Growing Pain signals the need for improvement, pushing you to move to a new, uncomfortable yet necessary level. 🔄
• If you aren’t struggling (experiencing pain), there’s less of a chance you’ll fail, and if you don’t fail, how will you know what you need to improve on?
✅ Greater Appreciation:
• Enduring difficulties can enhance your appreciation for the achievements you do make. 💗
• I saw a quote that said when you push through things that are difficult, life becomes happier because you see the results of what you struggled to do. In the moment, it sucks, but afterwards, you end up so proud of what you could’ve given up on
🎗️ Builds Community:
• Experiencing struggles makes you more empathetic and understanding toward others 🤞🏾
• You ultimately become a resource and a companion all in one because you know what it’s like to struggle.
🪜 Beauty in the Pain:
• The more pain you experience, the easier it will be to dwell on what isn’t going well, right? Well, think of what life becomes when you take the pain and use it as a form of upliftment.
• The experience of pain becomes the ground you walk on as you move up to your next level instead of the ceiling that leaves you crutched and broken
